Robert Kovach has spent his entire career working as a trusted advisor to senior leaders wanting to improve the effectiveness of themselves, their teams, and their companies. By profession, he is a business psychologist and believes that psychology can be useful for leaders who are trying to navigate market transitions, create profitable growth, and foster a positive work experience in our fast-paced and increasingly complex world.
From 2007 through 2020, Robert worked on the global executive assessment and development team for Cisco. Prior to joining Cisco, Robert was Senior Consultant and Managing Director of the London office for RHR International; Director of Human Resources for Central & Eastern Europe & Russia with PepsiCo based in Warsaw, Poland; and a Director of the Executive MBA and member of faculty for both Hult Ashridge Executive Education in England and the Central European University in Budapest, Hungary. Robert has provided expert commentary for many publications, including Harvard Business Review, The Financial Times, and The Times. He has authored over 80 articles and four book chapters on leadership effectiveness and organizational development.
Robert received his Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Butler University, a Master’s Degree in Industrial-Organizational Psychology from Radford University and his PhD in Industrial-Organizational Psychology from Wayne State University. He is a member of the American Psychological Association, the Society for Industrial-Organizational Psychology, and an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society. He is registered with the Health & Care Professions Council in the UK, is a registered European Psychologist (EuroPsy), and holds a Diploma in Board Governance.
He divides his time between the East Coast of the US and London.
