Robert Kovach has spent his entire career working as a trusted advisor to senior leaders wanting to improve the effectiveness of themselves, their teams, and their companies. Robert couples his executive background with a deep knowledge of psychology, especially organizational psychology, to produce results for the leader, their team and the company.

Robert was formerly a Human Resources executive with both Cisco and PepsiCo. In Cisco, he led the global executive development and assessment team responsible for Cisco’s top 50 leaders and was co-Executive Sponsor for GSK. With PepsiCo he was Director of Human Resources for Central & Eastern Europe & Russia based in Warsaw, Poland. Earlier in his career, Robert held leadership and senior consultant roles with RHR International, Ashridge Hult Executive Education and the CEU Business School at the Central European University in Budapest.

As a consultant, educator, and coach, Robert has worked with senior leaders and teams from around the world, mainly in Fortune 100, FTSE 50 and DAX 30 companies on projects ranging from top management succession, leadership assessment for M&A and leader development programs.

Robert regularly writes about leadership topics for the C-suite and those who aspire to the C-suite. He has a monthly blog on Psychology Today, The Psychology of Work, and has provided expert commentary for many publications including Harvard Business Review, Fast Company and The Financial Times.

Robert received his BA in psychology from Butler University, a MA in Industrial-Organizational Psychology from Radford University and a PhD in Industrial-Organizational Psychology from Wayne State University. He is a Licensed Psychologist and a registered European Psychologist (EuroPsy). He is a member of the American Psychological Association, the Society for Industrial-Organizational Psychology, and an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society. He is a Master Certified Coach (MCC), the highest credential awarded by the International Coaching Federation. He also holds a Diploma in Board Governance from the Financial Times Board Director Programme.

Born and raised in Chicago, he has spent a substantial part of his life outside of the US, living in London, Budapest, Warsaw and Moscow. He currently divides his time between the US and UK.
