Lucy Dahl, Ph.D.

Dr. Lucy Dahl provides executive assessment, coaching, team intervention and organizational development to help individuals and organizations reach their peak performance and achieve business results. 


She brings over twenty-five years of experience, both as an external and internal consultant working with large multi-national Fortune 500 companies, as well as medium-sized businesses. Her clients have included Aetna, AMD, American Express, Balfour Beatty, BlackRock, Dell, Dealers Manufacturing, HEB, IPG, Johnson Controls, K & L Gates, Kestra Financial, Lilly Pulitzer, Nike, Medtronic and Royal Dutch Shell among numerous others.


Lucy has worked with managers and executives in a broad range of industries. She works with leaders in a highly focused manner to create an intensive developmental experience that is directly tied to achieving their business goals. Her clients report that she pushes them beyond where they thought they could go, significantly advancing their development and increasing their contribution to the company. Lucy’s experience, perceptiveness, knowledge of the business world and understanding of what it takes to make change happen make her a strong coach and assessor, as well as OD professional.


In addition to her expertise in working with individuals, Lucy has spent over ten years helping organizations design and implement large-scale talent management programs. Most recently, she led the Global Talent Management team at Advanced Micro Devices (AMD), where she designed and implemented the first standard global, in-depth organization and talent planning process. She led the team in redesigning and implementing the company’s executive promotion process, executive on-boarding process, and pay-for-performance process. She was also responsible for the global executive assessment and coaching practices.


Prior to AMD, Lucy spent over seven years at Dell, where she held several leadership positions with responsibility for global talent management programs, organizational development consulting, and leading HR within several of the organizations as an HR business partner. Before joining Dell, Lucy was a regional director and assistant GM at Personnel Decisions International. During her time at PDI, she led the Strategic Talent Management practice area for the Western and Southwestern regions, and the Coaching practice area for the Midwestern region of the United States. She also provided coaching, assessment, training, and 360 feedback to companies around the world.


Lucy has a dual Ph.D. in Industrial and Organizational Psychology as well as Counseling Psychology from Colorado State University. 


When not working, she loves spending time with her family, SCUBA diving, skiing, and reading.
